News

Greetings CXR Racers,

Welcome to the end of the 2023 CXR season and our final race at N Sea Tac Park on 11/26/23.     It takes a lot of work, planning, time, and commitment to make these races happen and none of us are in this for the money, glory, and prizes; we do it because we love it.  Our crew has been doing this for many years and we continue to do so because we have a passion for the sport and a connection to all of you in the Seattle Cyclocross community.  It has been a fun season and we thank you for all the individual and team support that has helped to make this season a success.

We have our final race, two awards ceremonies, and two prize raffles under the BIG Betty White Tent

Lots to review with you so let’s get to it.

Do’s and Don’ts.

Do remember that parking inside the park is limited.  Limited vehicle parking available at the Tac.  There will be room for Team parking and some limited General Parking for those arriving before 9.  For everyone else you will be parking on 18th Ave S.Don’t Ride Your Bike on The Rugby Field.

We have the entire N Sea Tac park at our disposal for riding but this does NOT include the big open Grass Rugby Field.  If we damage the Rugby Field we damage our relationship with parks and rec.    We are allowed to utilize these venues if we are good stewards of the land and act responsibly within their instructions.  Please help us and stay on the clay perimeter track and off the Rugby Field to reach the run up.   Don’t ride your bike on the Rugby Field.

Do Remember Our 1st Awards Presentation for Juniors and Cat 4 Men & Clydesdales

If you are unavailable for the awards ceremony please send a friend, we will give them the Awards, and hopefully they’ll get to you in the end.

Please note: we are not having a podium presentation for the Beginner Men, Beginner Women, or the Juice Box Derby race. However, those categories are eligible for the prize raffle.

Do Remember Our 2nd Awards Presentation for All Afternoon Racers

It will also be held under the BIG Betty White Tent at  CXR #6 , November 26th at N. Sea-Tac Park.

Do Check Scoring Now & Make NO Changes
For the final race it is very important to not make any changes to Your current registration.   If unsure what your current registration is you can verify it here; https://cross-revolution.com/results/

Bob Cross is not the same as …Rob Cross, B Cross, Bob C. Cross, etc…
Databases do not tolerate variances in Bib number, chip number,  last name , and or first name.  For accurate scoring all need to match Exactly what is currently showing in the points.

Overall series standing will be scored and awarded for all categories except Beginners and Juice Boxers.  To be awards eligible you must compete and complete in at least three CXR races.

All6 races in the Cross Revolution series count equally toward the overall series standings.  Your worst result is dropped and final standings are based on the best 5 race results.

The scoring of the final race of the year is no different as the other races within the series unless there is a tie.

Racing all 6 races is not necessarily an advantage over someone that only did 5.

All racers are scored off of their best 5 races.

Year End Ties will be broken by:

  1. Greatest number of wins.
  2. If still tied, the highest placing at the final race.
